Good things will come to those who wait: PB 0110's long-awaited webshop is finally online (news spread via Ligastudios)! Oh yes. I don’t know how many times I’ve visited this website during the past few months stuffing my virtual shopping basket. To be honest, now that I finally could buy everything, I’m totally indecisive… should I go for the AB 03 (“AB” stands for designer Ayzit Bostan) or for the AB 01?
PB 0110 is a label by Philipp Bree, featuring fine bags of natural leather and linen. Founded in 2012, after leaving the family business, BREE, PB 0110 produces minimalistic bags and accessories that will become even more beautiful with the passage of time and develop a unique patina.
Sort of investment pieces, you know?
Yo lovelies, do you also share my huge obsession for pineapples? Everything started with the porcelain pineapple and today I discovered this brass gang at the The Enchanted Fig Tree. There are also pineapple candle sticks, boxes and lamps waiting for you.
And now I need a little break – I´ll be off for a couple of days but I promise I’ll be back to full speed soon!
Want an easy-peasy decoration idea, lovelies? Then make your favourite perfumes, minerals, souvenirs,
your first selfmade pottery, whatever stand out by simply placing them under a bell jar. Beautiful bell jars are available for example at Depot Online or at Klevering.
Want: the KENZO x Vans Classic Slip-on shoe in this season’s “Day clouds” print. I always wanted to know how it feels to walk on clouds.
Oh LOOK what I’ve found at Restored (one of my favourite onlineshops for unique products): two beautiful marble tables with solid oak frames and legs with oil finish! Marble Table Medium, 125 EUR and Marble Table Small, 110 EUR! This is MARBLELLOUS (sorry for this one…).
So here’s your design-addict’s mission for today: check out Restored and get lost in their beautiful selection of garments, accessories, items for your interior, magazines and more… but please don’t buy the marble table before I’ve placed my order. Thanks.
Today’s DIY inspiration comes from brilliant Swedish interior stylist Pella Hedeby. Autumn is already round the corner and now I know how I will spend the first rainy Saturday since weeks: I will make my own inspirational brass moodboard. Pella shows you how. Brass Clippers from HAY, brass grating, screws and spacers from the hardware store.
I would throw on pretty much everything from Kokoon FW2013 collection and I’m sure I would totally feel at home in all the blue shades and leopard prints. Word.
I’m lacking words. You don’t know why? Then have a gander at the new lookbook from Berlin based label The Medley Institute.
Do you need new furniture? Or a new mirror, a carpet, a table lamp? I would say “ABSOLUTELY”. And I’m pretty sure you might also say “ABSOLUTELY” after having browsed through the lookbook of Bolia’s new collection. It’s very playful with bright colours, light wood and origami shapes, but at the same time serious and sober with beautiful marble details and metal elements. For those of you who don’t live next to a Bolia store – they’ve got an onlineshop. (But don’t blame me for being broke afterwards!)
On top of my wishlist for fall: the midi skirt. Darlings like Emma Elwin (left picture) or Dree Hemingway (right picture via) and designers like Phoebe Philo for Céline FW 2013 show you how to style it. Combine it with some flat boots (if you’re tall enough) or boots with chunky wooden heels. And if you are afraid to look too frumpish, look at Dree and just punk it up with a see-through shirt. Done.
And here’s how to shop this trend on a budget: 1.) Pleated Wool Skirt in aubergine from COS // 2.) A-Line Skirt in tangerine also from COS // 3.) Pleated Skirt from Zara // 4.) Faux Leather Skirt from Whistles // 5.) Long Skirt from Base Range via La Garconne // 6.) Dark red Leather Skirt from Zara.
I met Tutia and Johanna, the charming duo behind Perret Schaad earlier this year at the Mode Suisse Zurich to catch a glimpse of their FW 2013 collection. And I spent like hours in that place, so many beautiful pieces, colours, fabrics. Daaang. In the end I turned my head off and ordered two items: the jacket in the picture above and a fantastic red shirt (will be featured soon in another post). Like a little girl for her birthday I’ve been waiting for my order for the last few months. And now it’s finally here (and, yes, this time I DID scream when the postman arrived) – isn’t it lovely? And it looks so nice with my new other new innies: sandals from &other stories, Chanel "Frenzy" nailpolish and copper hangers from HAY.
Swimshorts are probably the only thing I wouldn’t steal from my boyfriend’s wardrobe. But those are pretty cool, they come from Portuguese label We The Knot. Filipe and Sérgio came up with the idea to collect broken umbrellas and craft beautiful swim shorts out of the umbrella textile (40 EUR each). Recycling at its best!
The main idea behind this blog is to give young designers a platform, that’s why I’m really excited about this project: Byco is a crowdfunding site for fashion and home design, where everybody can submit a design – established designers, students or practitioners from other design disciplines. If the design is good, the sketch will be posted to the “fund page”, where you can invest in the designs you like. Once a sample is produced it will be available at Byco Shop for a limited time. The designers receive 20% of sales plus one of their designs and investors receive 10% of sales and of course support good work. Wow. I mean, where else do you have the possibility to buy unique design for surprisingly reasonable prices?
Oh please can this summer last forever? In any case I’m well prepared: with my white satin Espadrille Flats from & Other Stories // my transparent panter-print beach shorts from H&M // organic cotton Polo Shirt from & Other Stories // my beloved round-shaped Biblio Sunglasses from Kaibosh (here in a very special colour: Tidal Foam) // “Recessionista” Nailpolish from essie // summer reading: Ueberdog by Jörg Albig // a little refreshment when it gets too hot: pocket-sized Avène Facial Spray.
