Striking idea: the creative minds behind Livet Hemma used different plywood “Prant” boxes to build this stunning modular storage system. They painted the insides with lovely soft pastel shades and fixed them with simple paperclips. I also love how much creative potential this idea has – I might give it a try!
Here’s another great idea from Ikea Livet Hemma: the DIY Pastel Lamps! So simple and lovely! You just have to buy some of the Foto lamps and some spray paint in different pastel colours. Wipe the lamps clean and cover the cables with some tape before you start spraying. You will receive the best results if you spray them twice with a thin layer, just let the first layer dry for 15 minutes, then spray again. I think hanging up several lamps together will look amazing!
For all you denim lovers: Denim Refinery is an online custom service that allows you to refine your pair of jeans. Send them your denim and they will customize it. Dyeing, distressing, bleaching, laser printing… whatever you like. And if you can’t let go of your old jeans, there’s an online store (also for men!) offering great vintage denim pieces that have been hand-selected and uniquely treated.
There are so many inspiring pictures of ponytails with metal hair rings everywhere these days and I was hooked instantly, but didn’t have a clue where to buy them. There have been some at H&M for a short time – but (of course) they are already sold out. But then finally I found what I was looking for: brilliant Sandra from 5 inch and up has this amazing DIY! What a genius! She simply takes some metal rings which are normally used for wine bottles to prevent the drops from running down the bottle neck. This is how it works! It was love at first sight with those rad dalmatian sneakers from Forfex for Opening Ceremony, but needless to say – they weren’t available in my size anymore. So I went to H&M, bought a pair of cream white canvas high tops and easy-peasy painted them myself with some black fabric paint…
Almost everybody I know (me included) owns an Ikea cabinet. There’s nothing wrong with that – but isn’t it boring? Now at least the Swedes have the chance to spruce up common Ikea cabinets with high quality fronts, handles and legs from SUPERFRONT.
PS: Now I also know how to get my “quilted” dream kitchen!
